Weather in Tanzania during the year:
Jan, Feb, Mar – Periodic rains, costs of lodging are higher and many lodges book full.
Apr, May – Rainy season, although it generally rains in the afternoon briefly and is sunny the rest of the day. Costs are reduced and fewer travelers, but the parks have more vegetation making animal viewing not optimal.
Jun – Rains end, and costs are medium, but the parks are busier.
Jul, Aug – Dry season and the costs are elevated, and parks are busy and many lodges are booked full.
Sept, Oct – Dry season, medium costs, not as busy in the parks.
Nov – Short rains, medium cost and slower traffic in the parks.
Dec – Rains end and peak holiday season in lodges and parks.
